How To

Dehydrated Oranges for the Holidays

Happy Holidays!

My cousin (an interior designer) sent me a post about decorating for Christmas Little Women style. I LOVE to read. I EXTRA LOVE Little Women. Every year I turn on the Winona Ryder version of Little Women while decorating the tree.

So I dehydrated oranges in the oven. I don’t care what recipe you look up. It will take like 8 hours at least. Know that going in. I had the movie playing in the background but I could have just read the book.

They are beautiful. They have so many uses! I brought a cake to a party last night. I had also made candied orange peel and sugared cranberries. So I decorated the cake with those but it needed more. So I added some dehydrated oranges. Look how pretty!

The cake is my friend Tanya’s recipe. She was on The Great American Baking Show and she has a great blog, globalbakes.com . Click here to go straight to her cranberry cake recipe. With the one recipe I made the mini bundt above and a small loaf cake (patiently waiting in the freezer).

I am eventually going to decorate with the oranges. A beautiful addition to garland, wreaths, gifts, beverages, the possibilities are endless.

Have fun holidaying!!!! Be safe and spread kindness.
